Keeping on the DL...

[Sammy Belgheri]

Sammy walked along down the side-walk, making a return trip from the apartment he'd rented. Knowing he'd need a place to stash some things better left unknown, Sam took the apartment and used some loose floor boards to hide a few of his unmentionables and cash. It seemed safe enough and him being a lesser known thug of sorts meant he wasn't a prime target of the authorities attention. Though Sam couldn't shake this unwavering feeling of uneasiness. He stuck his hands in his jacket pockets and continued down the curb towards his parked car.

[Tony Soprano]

*Out of a building near the car walked none other than Tony Soprano. He was heavy, but not showing. He lit up a cigar, waving goodbye to the butcher.*

[Sammy Belgheri]

Sammy's attention was diverted to a man he saw out of the corner of his eye when he got to his car. When he turned to look he was relieved to see that it was Tony. He smiled and took his right hand out of his pocket to wave so that he could get Tony's attention. "Yo, Tony." he said as he approached. "Didn't think I'd bump into you today."

[Tony Soprano]

*Tony looked up, nodding towards him, wating for what he'd have to say*

[Sammy Belgheri]

Sammy wasn't sure if Tony would care to be bothered by what he'd have to say being that he wasn't exactly top dog in the family, but he did his best to keep himself in good with them. Tony especially. "I just want you to know that you don't have to worry about anything with me. I'm keeping low just like you said. I wouldn't want to be the one to end up causing trouble for us." he said, looking over at a passerby before looking back to Tony.

[Tony Soprano]

*Tony looked at him, smiling slightly*

"Well, good for you.."

*He said, diverting his attention back to unlocking his car door. Tony wasnt ignorant, but he never really favoured talking to the 'soldiers' of the family. Most of them werent very smart, and alot of them would only be so obsessive with him that they'd often cause an uproar by killing someone without orders, for petty reasons, or robbing stores that were under the protection ring.

He looked across the street, noticing a parked car with two men in. They were FBI and they sure as hell weren't meant to be seen by them. Tony waved at them, laughing as one of them slapped their hand to their forehead as they pulled out with the car. Things like that made Tony crack up with laughter. He eventually looked back to Sammy.*

"Hows that shipment of the italian suits? Is it covered?"

*Tony didnt usually speak family business with foot-soldiers but he didnt think any harm as he'd just get the same information from a capo, although it'd have a longer wait*

Sammy nodded. "Yeah, of course. Everything's set." he said, looking to the FBI briefly as well and cracking a smile. It was obvious that a soldier like him wasn't worth much at this point and probably looked upon as more of a liability than a useful ally. He hoped to change that. Sam knew his only chance would be to stay true to the family and never leave room for doubt. Not even a little bit. "I don't wanna keep you from anything if you're busy. Which I'm sure you are..." At that point Sammy felt like an ass for approaching the boss as though they were best buddies. He began to withdraw from their small talk, nodding curtly. "Well I guess I should get going." He looked to his car and then back to Tony again.

[Tony Soprano]

*Within seconds of what Sammy had said, Tony's opinion of him had changed. Suddenly, Tony had a feeling that with some bating, the soldier in front of him could be a future capo, or if not, at least an associate. A smile broke upon his face.*

"You got somewhere to be?"

*Tony asked, actually having faith in a soldier for once. Ever since the Bellevaqua kid had shot Christopher, he had no longer trusted anyone that wasnt made to get too close.*

[Sammy Belgheri]

Sammy thought for a moment. "I was just gonna head home. Unless I'm needed for anything." he responded. He felt his keys in his jeans pocket just to make sure he hadn't forgotten them back at the apartment. "Can't say there's been much to do with...them around. Pressing down on everything." His eyes had motioned where the FBI had been.

[Tony Soprano]

*He laughed*

"Well, you know, I was just gonna go make a collection...Never bad having someone watching your back. Of course, if you've got something you need to do..."

[Sammy Belgheri]

"No, no. I'm here if I'm needed. There's nothing I have to do that's important enough that I can't put it off." Sammy seemed to jump at the chance to accompany Tony Soprano himself. Showing a little more eagerness than he'd wanted to. "I'll help out."

[Tony Soprano]

*Tony nodded, opening his car door to the passenger side. He got in. Whenever he had someone with him, he would never be the one to drive. Tony actually found it a luxury to be driven around*

[Sammy Belgheri]

Sammy opened the driver's side door and got in, then shutting it. He started the car and looked over to Tony. "Where to?" he asked. Checking to see if there were any cars coming their way, Sam pulled out, away from the curb. Once on the street he gave a quick glimpse over to Tony again, waiting to find out the location they were to stop at.

[Tony Soprano]

"There's a coffee shop on 48th...they're refusing to pay...And usually i'd get a Paulie or Ralph to do it but...Well, what better than doing it myself...Least then I know they wont refuse to pay again."

*He laughed*

[Sammy Belgheri]

Sammy smiled. "True." he said. The coffee shop was only a short ten minute drive and so it wasn't long until they got there. Parking off to the side of the small building, Sam turned the car off. "You want me to come with you or wait here?" he asked.
