"Well well well. If it isn't the fuckin' golden boy." Ralph commented. Ever since Tony moved the kid from his crew Ralph felt as though it was a sign of disrespect on Tony's part. He hadn't even been consulted, but he didn't make an issue out of it. Though he did tend to pick on the kid whenever Sammy was near. "I thought you'd come in with him (Tony), considering you kiss his ass twenty-four/seven. How humble of him to give ya a break."

Sammy just gave Ralph a side-ways glance and grabbed a beer. He wasn't in the mood to get into any confrontations, be it verbal or worse. Either way it wasn't his place to throw any punches or he'd find himself with two slugs in the skull the next day. Sammy knew his place and knew when to talk and when to keep quiet. He just smiled and played it off as if it was nothing. Ralph was always a big mouth. That was nothing new. Sammy just relaxed and sipped his beer.

Junior sat at the end of the table and was, surprisingly, relatively quiet as he ate. He thought the others were doing a good enough job of making noise that he didn't need to add anything to it. There wasn't much he had to say to anyone anyway. Though inside his own mind he had plenty to complain about relating to some of the men in the room.

As Sil pat Sammy on the shoulder when he arrived, the phone on his desk rang. He walked over and picked up the reciever. "Yeah?" Benny's voice came through loud and clear with a hint of urgency. "They what? The Esplanade? Where the fuck were you?" Sil's familiar scowl appeared when he got the news of an attack at the construction site. "Alright, I'll tell him when he gets in. You hang tight in case they come back." Sil put down the reciever and leaned up against his desk. The Sorvinos had attacked their workers and sabotaged their progress to an extent. No doubt this stroke of bad news would aggrivate Tony.

"What tha fuck was that about?" Paulie asked, recognizing the look on Sil's face. It was the face he usually pulled when he was going to tell Tony some bad news. A face that knew how angry he'd be, but had no choice in telling him.

"Ah it's them fuckin' Sorvinos. They made their first move. Something about attackin' the Esplanade. He was talkin' so fast--I don't know." He shook his head and shrugged. Sil's mind was working out how to break it to Tony in the easiest way possible when he came. It seemed a war lurked over them and there was no way to dodge it.

"I told ya those cocksuckas were gonna make a move. Nobody around here listens to a goddamn thing. Walkin' around here with your hands over your ears." Ralph spoke matter-o-factly. He leaned back in his chair and smiled in knowing that he was right.

Joey took his attention off of the movie to realize the room had gone silent. He looked over to Silvio and listened. "An attack? Does this mean...we're goin' to war with this family?" He questioned. He'd only been in on the action as a soldier for a year or so and already a war was on the horizon. Joey knew about the casualties and he was no big fish among the sharks. That would either keep him out of harms way since he wasn't an important figure or make him expendable. Either way he worried.

"Let's not jump to conclusions. War's the last thing this family needs." Despite what Sil said, he was thinking the same thing the others were. He knew it'd be Tony's call though and he had faith that the boss of the family would know exactly what to do.

A shuffle at the door was heard, and in walked who else, but the boss himself. He came in, a broad smile upon his face, and smiled even harder when he saw everyone, or more than anything, the salami that was sat at the table, waiting for him. "Hey" he said, raising his arm up in a wave.

As soon as Sil saw Tony it made the situation worse. He was in a good mood and the news that had to be told would obviously spoil it. It would have been easier if he'd been in a sour state of mind already. Either way Sil had to tell him. He approached. "Ton, we got some news. You wanna eat first or...?" Silvio cut off and looked to him. His expression was enough to give it away that what he had to say wasn't anything positive.

Enthusiasm was exactly what Paulie displayed, and he certainly didn't wanna give anything away. That was Sil's job, and Paulie didn't want to cause unrest in the group. Silvio would tell Tony when he thought it was right.

"Nah..." Tony said, throwing down the pack of Salami he was just about to enjoy. Something told him that his appetite was just about ruined for today. The look on Silvio's face was not something he'd seen before.

Silvio sat down behind his desk. "Benny just called. Our friends - the Sorvinos. They attacked the Esplanade construction site. Beat on some of the workers, broke equipment, took some things..." He paused and looked up at Tony just to prepare himself in case an outburst occured. "...I don't know where the fuck our guys were when it was goin' on, but it looks like we got no choice but to make a stand." Sil rested one of his arms on the desk and looked past Tony for a moment. "I don't know if New York knows yet."

Tony sat down slowly, like he'd just seen a ghost. Then, after a brief silence, his anger just burst. He threw the bottle of Vodka that rested towards the side of him straight at the wall, as he stood up. "Of course New York know. That fuckin' prick Phil is probably laughing it up right now over his fuckin' home-cooked meal on his fuckin' six-piece sofa..." he began to rant
