Joey was dead silent. He wasn't sure exactly what Paulie did wrong by offering to go, but apparently it wasn't a good thing. He slowly sat down at the table one seat over from Vito and four from Junior. Joey took his sunglasses off and wiped them on his cloth he kept in his pocket. He was waiting for everything to resolve itself.

Paulie was surprised to hear Silvio ask him that. He would've thought that Ralph would have said it, but he didn't understand what he'd done wrong. He just shook his head. Even though he'd never liked Ralph, he still didn't want to see him with a slug through his brain...at least, not yet.

Joey stood up and made his way to the coat rack. "I got some collections to make. I'll be back later." He put on his coat and made his way out. He needed some fresh air. The tension that lingered in the room was enough to suffocate an elephant.

Paulie remained silent, but watched Joey stand up and say his bit, then saw him leave. Leaving wasn't such a bad idea in Paulie's position, but he didn't want to seem rude, on top of everything else. He just sat, looking around at the room, and everyone was still silent, including Ralph. But how long would it stay like that for?

"You know what? I'll head down there anyway. I gotta stop at Rosalie's so it ain't far." It was an obvious attempt on Ralph's part to look humble and as though he were doing it out of respect for Tony, but it was no doubt an attempt to save his skin and redeem himself in Tony's eyes. He grabbed his beige trench coat, scarf, and gloves and gave a quick salute to everyone in the room before exiting.

Sil watched as Joey left and then Ralph a short time later. He just shook his had at him. Ralph was too much. It always seemed as though the guy was walking on thin ice with Tony. Sil was just waiting for the moment the ice would break.

"Fuckin' asshole" Paulie muttered after Ralph had walked out. It wasn't that he was scared to say it to his face. He just didn't want to cause any more trouble than there already was. He stood up and walked over to the microwave, throwing in a Pop Tart. He pressed a few buttons as they beeped, and then turned, waiting. "Whats with tha' fuckin' silence?" he commented, trying to lighten the mood.

Sil just looked to Paulie and leaned back in his seat. "Vito, follow him down there." Sil trusted Vito more than he did Ralph. Just in case he was lying at least someone would be down there helping out. Vito stood and wiped the crumbs off of his shirt. He grabbed his jacket and left only a few minutes after Ralph.

Paulie was silent for a moment, and then looked around the room. There weren't many left inside. He looked straight back at Sil. "You got a problem with me, Silvio?" he asked, square in the eye, and direct.

Sil looked to him. "What tha fuck you talkin' about?" He questioned. "We got all this shit goin' on--I can't think straight. I gotta wait for the boss to get his head clear all the while we got the Sorvinos up our asses." He stood up. "I'd stop worrying about hurt feelings and start worrying what we can do to keep our shit togeather if I were you." Silvio had his way of saying some of the harshest things in the calmest and least offensive manner. Always calm even if his words were misleading.

"Aww fuck you" Paulie half muttered. He was never in a good mood, and this was one of his worst moods. He'd become so violent and angered for almost no reason at all, and quite often take it out on his friends, like he was doing so with Sil right now.

Sil just stared at Paulie before picking up the reciever and dialing Vito's cellphone number. Vito was in the business of construction so he knew he could find some way to regain some of their losses dealing with the supplies and equipment.

Paulie stood up, took one last look at everyone in the room, then turned to leave. He was pretty sure everyone wanted him to leave anyway. All he ever did was bring the mood down at times like these. He would come back later, when Tony was calmed down, and everyone else wouldn't be worrying so much.

Sil watched as Paulie exited. It wasn't his intention to strike up any bad blood with the crew, but Paulie was always a sensitive, if not self-absorbed person. He'd come around eventually just as he always did. As soon as Silvio was in contact with Vito and found that Ralph was obtaining the materials he was quite surprised. Ralph had actually told the truth and was coming through for the Family. Sil hung up the reciever and just stared into space, thinking to himself for a few moments.

Their long conversation in its own right was at least 20 minutes, and they'd spent 10 on the phone, which meant half an hour had past since Tony had left. He set this as his cooling off period as he walked back into the room, and stopped noticing almost everyone had left. The remaining members looked at him in silence, but their eyes were enough.
