Sammy smiled and pat Sil on the back as he was lead in. "Well if you guys say so." He was going in blind, so to speak. Sammy hadn't reviewed the situation and knew nothing of the family they were to meet with. He'd leave it to Sil and Tony. There wasn't much he could do, but sit back and be patient. Though he couldn't deny how uneasy it made him to not have his gun on him.

As the three of them were led in, tables and chairs were already set up. On the other side sat a stylish looking man, with 2 of his own men. Tony was the first to sit down, then Sil, then Sammy.

Tony sat back, getting comfortable, letting the man in front of them have the first words. After all, he arranged this meeting.

Pietro: "Welcome, gentlemen."
Pietro nodded to them all as he took a seat beside his boss. Giovanni glanced over at Tony a moment before speaking.
Giovanni: "I'd like to start off by saying how sorry I am for the mess caused by my men. I want you to know that I had no say in what happened. They acted of their own accord and they have been dealt with."
Pietro: "We understand that a friend of ours may have had a hand in dis fuck up, though I'm not at liberty to disclose which family as we're in business wit them."
Giovanni: He nodded. "Yes, we don't want to be the ones to start a war. I don't need the blood on my hands. We're willing to pay and make amends. The money will go to you first as I don't know who your associate is and you can transact it. Unless of course he wants to meet me in person. I'd gladly oblige."
Pietro snapped his fingers and a slim, blonde haired, man stepped forward. He bent down as Pietro whispered into his ear. The man nodded and left again.
Giovanni: "Your call, Anthony."

Tony nodded most of the way through their speech. "And err, how much are we talking here?" Tony asked, making sure he wouldn't be played like a fool.

Pietro: "Fourty Gs." he answered simply. Giovanni: He nodded. "Keep in mind there was only one casualty and no damage done."

"Whoa whoa whoa, 40 Gs? No damage done?" Tony said, with a slight laugh. "That guy was a top earner, and he would have made more than that for me in a day. Not to mention, his wife is now a single mom with four kids, that I have to pay for college, food, new car etc." Tony said, trying to sound as cooperative as possible. He didn't want bad blood between the two families.

Pietro: "Maybe you should have considered putting someone of a lower standing in position of driver rather than have a top earner involved with such a task. That's what soldiers are for."
Giovanni: He looked to Pietro and then back to Tony. "Listen, I'm willing to pay. But I have my limits. I had no involvement in this and I already had the ones responsible iced." He paused a moment. "I may be a bastard, but I'm not a cold hearted one. I feel for the family and I understand the significance of your loss, but like I said--I have my limits. So name a price you deem suitable and I'll see what I can do."
Pietro: "You understand the business. Things happen. Some things we can't prevent." He spoke with a cold glare. "The DiMeo family has overstepped it's boudaries quite a few times, so don't hold it against us that some renegade soldier took out a goddamn driver!"
Giovanni: "Silenzio. Non desideriamo ostilità qui, Pietro." Pietro nodded curtly and sat back.

Tony was not pleased by the way Pietro was talking to him. "You better tell your friend to watch his mouth, Giovanni" He sat back himself. "And he was a driver because he could handle himself. It should have been safe, but your guys surely fucked it up." He looked back at Giovanni. "Now I've talked it over with my Consigliere over here and we're asking for at least 75..." Tony returned a cold stare at Pietro as he said this.

Pietro: "You think you're hot shit don't you? New Jersey ain't nothin'."
Giovanni: "Pietro, that's enough." He held his hand up to his consigliere. It was unusal as he knew Pietro to keep his cool more often than not. "Seventy-five G's, eh?" He thought a moment.
Pietro: "Fuck that. Sixty and that's our final offer. Need I remind you that our guys weren't taking orders." He sat back again and stared across at Tony. "Just be glad you still have what you have. You never know when it could be taken all away."
Giovanni: "Sixty then. Whaddya say?" He was obviously trying to ignore Pietro's comments at that point.

"No, seventy-five and it stays at that, considering your friend's attitude." Tony would not be under minded by some prick in a suit who thought he could talk tough and play with the big boys, and Tony knew full well what could follow his words. Perhaps Pietro had forgot that the DiMeo family had recently patched up an ancestoring feud with one of the Five Families and that they also had close ties with the Lupertazzi family, another of the Five. Either way, New Jersey would not be so easily throw off, no matter how big they were in comparison to New York and Philadelphia.

Pietro: "You can either take the sixty and be on your way or you can get one of these..." He stuck his middle finger up. "...and one of these." He stuck his other middle finger up.
Giovanni: He remained quiet for a moment before trying to get past Pietro's comments. "Sixty thousand and ten percent of the earnings from our landscaping business. How about that? Just so there's no hard feelings."
Pietro: He scoffed. "Why don't you kiss their asses while you're at it? I mean--come on. This is Jersey we're dealing with." He was intentionally trying to belittle Tony.
Giovanni: "And I respect them." he snapped at Pietro. "Now instead of trying to cause more issues let's just resolve this one. Now I'd gladly pay, but business hasn't been what it used to be. That's why we're moving in on some business ventures in New York. Stretch our legs a bit. So I can give you sixty for now."
Pietro rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

Tony looked over at Giovanni and was more than happy to settle with 60 with the 10 percent cut. He was also eager to get away from the Boss' consigliere, because if he didn't, Tony would do something he may regret. "Sounds fair to me" Tony said, looking at Sil for approval. He looked back at Pietro. "And if I were you, I'd remember that he's boss, not you"

Pietro: He scoffed. "Yeah..." At that point he lost all interest. Giovanni: "Good, I'm glad we could settle this." He stood up and extended his hand to Tony. Pietro: Pietro stood up. "You better watch your back." he said, glaring at Tony before walking off.

Tony shook Giovanni's hand, before laughing at Pietro's behavior. "Temper, temper" he muttered at a normal volume, before turning.
